Infrared Thermography - Windows in the Portable Classroom

From the Inside: To help with the high temperatures in the classroom the teachers have placed constructions paper in the windows or have hung canvas from the ceilings to shade the windows. As demonstrated below by the IR photos of the windows taken from inside, this crude strategy is effective. The second IR photo shows how the ceiling heats up due to the sunlight. The temperature range is 62.5° F (darkest colors) to 98.5° F (lightest colors).

From the Outside: By contrast, the exterior photos of the windows (below) show that they heat up more where there is more exposure to the sun. Moreover, the photos show that screens are effective. The temperature range is from 79.5° F (darkest colors) to 97.5° F (lightest colors).
